    Default Problem with Widescreen

    How is everyone?

I just started using Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing and I'm editing my friends music video. I shot everything in 16:9 so when asked in the begining of the program, I chose widescreen 48hz(or whatever). Editing was easy and all but when I export the video, its just regular fullscreen and I end up with a unproportional mess... can any one help me?

Like I said, editing it, It appears to be widescreen, only when I export it. How should I go about exporting it correctly?

    Thanks.

Something worth trying would be to change the project settings to your default 4:3 aspect ratio. I believe when you shoot in widescreen, the video will automatically appear that way in a standard ratio. Although, I'm not sure what the final product will do on a 16:9 screen. Anyway, it's worth a shot!

    Good luck...

You simply need to export into a format that 'understands' non square pixels which is all widescreen really is.

Did you shoot in letterbox mode and is the film intended for a 4:3 or 16:9 tv?
How were the exportsettings, was the pixel aspect ratio set to 16:9 (1,422)? (You can see that when you choose export, then click on settings and then check the tab "video" to see all the settings.)
