Thread: Loss of quality

    Default Loss of quality

I have Adobe Premier Pro 2.0 When I capture my movie, and edit it, it appears crystal clear when viewing it in both views of adobe. But, when i exported it to a WMV and an MPEG, it lost a lot of quality, and they seem to stall sometimes during play. Is there anyway to fix this?

When you edit with material taken directly from an mini-dv source premiere will show it uncompressed and highest quality, als if you would add a tv for extra preview the images would be very clear as well, even for normal dv.
Once you start compressing, quality loss will appear which is normal. If you stay within one hour on a dvd then the quality loss is not that noticable.

So, my question then is, how long was your movie and what were your settings when you converted to wmv or mpeg? And what program did you use to convert?

Remember it's still showing compressed video from DV, as the DV format itself is compressed.
It's not about what camera you use or how much it cost.

    It's about what you shoot,
    how you shot it,
and how you edit it :P
