    Default panasonic nv-gs10e problem recording..

Hi, seem to have developed a problem with my Panasonic nvgs10- it can't see anything. It works in VCR mode ( so I can watch already recorded tapes in the screen/viewfinder) but when I put it into record it just films blackness and the viewfinder remains black.
The problem started after using Pinnacle studio software, but I can't imaging that this could be the cause. I've tried all the settings on the camera itself but to no avail..Ive had this camera a while but hardly used it- it's always been stored away in a warm dry place and treated with care when used. It's outside of the guarantee so there's not much point in taking it for repair as I could buy a new one for the same money no doubt. Anyone have any ideas? Could it be a software thing? Or do you think something in the camera is kadook? Any input would be most appreciated,
    thanks, Pete

    Unhappy

Weird - it would be very strange if the s ware did anything to the camera. I cant think of anything helpfull really, maybe it is just bust.

Hi Mark, you're probably right about it being bust. I just have a bit of bad luck with this camera I think. Panasonic are really well rated so I maybe bought the runt of the batch- I searched everywhere to see if the NV10 was a bum design but all reviews are positive.. Actually went out and bought a NV27 yesterday (cheapskate, I know) so at least I can use the batteries of the NV10 and all the rest of the stuff that came with it. This afternoon I may screw it apart to see if I can fix it. Otherwise I'll make a collage out of it and post the results
    thanks,
    Pete
