Thank you for that. You are right the clients just want the shot, there is no take 2. If you mean the 7D, nightmare. No sound unless you get the adaptor thing, it will always be out of focus (unless they pay for a focus puller which I have never heard of for a wedding video.) We use a Z7, and sometime a EX1 or EX3. They all use the Exmor chip, which is the best for low light. I hope that helps.
If I could ask you about Steady. We have started using the Z7 on a Steady but it is a bit of a nightmare as it seems too light. Do you have any advice for our wedding videographer
    Hi Molo

I think i cant use forum properly. Yeah the Z7 is 2 light for a full on steadi rig. Yiu need to load it up try using double stack battery and use the hot shoe for your radio mics. Try sticking everything youve got on top of the camera not on the side strap. Maybe youve got a nanoflash and a top light stick them on as well. Really though you need something bigger

Ok will tell the guys to give it a go this weekend as we are doing another Hindi wedding. We do have a nanoflash for the EX's to will take your advise on everything. Although I guess the staedy is for something like the Red. heaven only knows how you do steady for DSLR

Thanks for the info. Im a steadi operater and editor, about to start wedding filming. I work with directors who just concentrate on the us, the production crew. I guess the clients for weddings just want them getting married. Not a festival of clever angles and movement. Guess it has its own stripped down language. Im not one for cheezy effects so I guess its all stable shots. Dcumentary without the shakey camera. Thanks again as I was about to go off on the wrong road. I guess a &D is a stupid itea then. What you use?
    Hi Aura

As a bit of an update I have heard that the new Sony F3 will have a new ENG style lense coming out soon. It has become camera porn for everyone here. So I think that that will be the camera for you. In fact I think it will be the camera for us next season as I cannot think of anything else so perfect.

Jimmygan. I've removed the link you've posted. There is little point posting it in three separate threads, you'll end up with the same comment posted in different places and annoy people here who come across it in different places - just like spam. If you really want to link to it from different sections, then post the video in one thread and link to that post from the others. Cheers!
