    Default fade

    is there any software about that let's you fade in and out of clips i.e at the end of one and the start of another, thanks in advance

    You may have simply posted this question in the wrong place but fading in and out should be performed in your video editting software and not when you are building/mastering your DVD. I use Adobe Encore and I'm not aware you can even do a fade in this app and I think it's at the high end of 'home DVD authoring'

    In your editor just apply a cross-fade to the video and maybe an audio fade to the audio. Export the results and build your DVD from that.

    Even windows Movie maker offer fade transitions.
    Need Pro Computer advice?

    In encore you can add a video clip as a transition, so you can create a clip in your editor and then tell encore to use it as a transition at certain points, like between menus or between timelines.
