Default Slow Down and Speed Up Clips

just what the title says.....how do you speed up, and slow down clips in Vegas? i believe its in the edit section, but, can't find it. something with the frams per second....? also, if you want to zoom in on something while the video is playing, do you have to zoom in frame by frame, or is there an effects button?

If you serch for 'Velocity Envelope' in this forum, you'll find a few threads where this has been covered in minute detail.

EDIT - This is probably the most detailed.

no you dont its very simple. click on the crop/pan button on the clip you want (it will look like a square) in that window there will be a new time line move that scrubber (i think thats the right name) in the new window to the place you want the zoom then go to the video in the new window and move the dotted f thing to the amount you want to zoom. sorry if this makes no sense and its just jiberish
