    Default Monitoring (Video) questions. HELP!

    Hey guys,
New to the group here. Just wanted some advise.

I am building my new studio and this time its going to be geared heavily towards Video Editing.

I've seen those Specific Sony (and other) video monitors that all the suites have, but how 'acceptable' is it to move away from that and do all your editing on a Large LCD or Plasma TV ? Can i build a video suite around a Large LCD and still get professional results? How common is that with LCD's falling in prices.

Any advise on this would be appreciated!

    Thanks

Its all down to resolution, the screen maybe big but the res is not particularly.

An HD ready widescreen comes in at 1280x720 while a standard 17" tft comes in at 1280x1024 and a 19" widescreen at 1680x1050.

Thats a lot of pixels to be losing.
