    Default Dolby Digital audio tracks

    Hi
I have problem with ULEAD DVD Movie Factory 3.
After selecting scenes from DVD and encoding them (I belive)
I got a message : " dmf040414-002.MPG] contains Dolby Digital audio tracks. DVD MovieFactory does not support this audio format. Do you still want to insert this video clip?"

Could I overcome such problem or that is it?

    Thanks a lot

Not an expert on this, but it sounds (forgive the pun) as though this version of mocie factory does not have an appropriate codec to de-code teh dolby sound. You could try the following,

    1. Raise the problem with Ulead support at http://www.ulead.co.uk/tech/suppform.htm. You will have to have a registered product to do this. I did notice that Ulead claim to support Dolby Surround Sound, so it may be worth while doing this.

    2. Try creating your DVD anyway. If it plays in the preview step then it should be ok.

Hope that is of some help. Good luck

I have just noticed that the Ulead cover the issue of Dolby Sound on page 192 of the user manual.

First demux the audio and video (seperate the two streams). You can do this in TMPGenc under File > MPEG tools > simple de-multiplex. Now re-enode the audio and multliplex (merge) your new audio and the existing video streams.

Or, when ripping export as a wav and muliplex that.
