Default 10.5.2 How do I blur unwanted video?

I'm making an informational video for a friend for a new product. How would I blur out certain portions of the video. For instance, A company logo on a van. I've tried picture in picture by bluring one video and croping it down then overlaying it on original video, but so far no luck. Thanks ahead of time.

I can't give a specific answer for your software, but I did offer the method I use here.
Perhaps you can do something similar in your program?
