Question Free software to reverse the action in a clip?

On my computer I only have Panasonic MotionDV Studio and Windows Movie Maker.

I need to reverse or 'rewind' the action in a clip. Is there a free software programme I could download that could do this so I could then insert the clip into the rest of the video?

I believe Virtualdub can do this. Check it out on sourceforge.

That's my opinion. If you don't like it I have others

System: Apple Macbook Pro 17, and an external Freecom 500GB eSATA drive.
Software: Final Cut Studio 2 (FCP 6, Motion 3, Soundtrack Pro 2, Color, DVD Studio Pro 4, Compressor 3), Sonicfire Pro 4.5
Favourite Resources: Findsounds.com, Free DVD menus, Ken Stone's FCP Page, Wikivid

Unfortunately Virtualdub doesn't have this feature. I've checked through their site and the only way to get Virtualdub to do this would be to run scripts from Avisynth – which is getting way too complicated for me.

Do you know of any other software out there that could do this one task – I don't want to use the software for anything other than this one thing.

    Any ideas?

Got it to work, possibly a bit convoluted…

I found out how to combine Virtualdub with Avisynth: http://www.rehanfx.org/tips.htm

Panasonic MotionDV Studio won't let me import the resultant reversed clip so I've got to go back to working in Windows Movie Maker (as I don't have the time to learn how to edit in Virtualdub and the helpfile is empty…)

    Thanks for your help, Lloyd
