    Default drawing on film

How do I do this? Like if I want to point something out I could draw a circle round it or even draw a sphere a have it moving through a bit of the clip?

You could make a sphere/circle or whatever in photoshop, save it as gif which enables transparency.Import the image in a track above your video and use the pan&crop to move your image over the video.

    Hope that helps.

You can also save as a .psd file in Photoshop. This also permits transparent backgrounds. Using this, I have been able to "animate" still shots. Use one as your base video, then superimpose the transparent one on a higher level. You can use either the Pan and Crop or the Track Motion feature to "move" the transparent part as you like. Using either .gif or .psd files, you can produce some cool effects.

Often (but not always) the .psd files will be smaller than the .gif if that is a concern.
