Smile University module question!

Hey everyone this is my first post and an important one for me. I am in my final year as a undergraduate at Sheffield Hallam University in England studying film production. In a research module i am taking i have devised a question that i must research within my particular industry area. I am trying to find out what the relationship is between the main production team members and the editor and if it has changed over the past twenty or so years (e.g. technology and locations) This is in relationship to any sized production no matter how small or big! Your help at giving me some infomation would be most appreciatted and also any of you from across the pond with some insight would be fantastic!!

CHEERS!!

(p.s. hope this is posted in the right topic!!)

We dont have loads of pros who work in big teams, a few, but most of use ar freelancers or creatives - responses my be thin.

Interesting question tho.
