Sony Vegas (the 3rd place because of codecs managing)

| | Personally i like sony vegas because it's not resource hungry and it run in low memory situations.If you know how to script then you can write your own plugin for sony vegas. |

| | Depends on Project While it depends on the project I find I use Vegas more than Premier for most of the same reasons outlined (resource, speed, ease of use). On some projects which do require some advanced and higher end editing I switch over to Premier, but for most projects I seem to be doing these days, Vegas provides everything I need to get the job done quickly and with quality.
SIDENOTE: Vegas does capture much more cleanly and is always in sync (audio/video). I've had some problems with sync/dropped frames when capturing from camera to Premier. |
