Default Deinterlacing?

Any one KNow of any programs that will do this for free?
and is this the best way to take the home video edge of the video to make it look more proffesional?

Virtualdub is free and deinterlaces well.

In the "export movie settings" you have the option "keyframe and rendering" and there is an "deinterlace video footage" setting.
