Z - first vid is private - had a 20 sec gander at the second - looks excellent - Ithink it should be in the main section of user vids - suggest you post it there.

Good tutorials are a cool learning resource - if it really cuts the mustard perhaps we can use it on the forum in our guides section ?

Not bad. The problem with something like Vegas is there are always other ways to achieve the same. So a couple of pointers for some stuff not cvered by your excellent video.
1. Markers. No need to use keyframes to place beats. Use markers, then you can take advantage of the "snap to markers" facility.
2. If you have Vegas Pro you can either write a script or buy one ready made (I use Ultimate) and tell it to place markers every beat at 120bpm for example. Saves a bit of work.
3. None of this works if your music doesn't have a constant beat (ie it changes tempo). Here it's advantageous to tap along to the music tapping on the M key to place a marker on each beat. Then you can move any that missed a bit by lining up with the peaks on the audio track.
