Default Whats the best software to use for creating soundtracks ?

I'm working on a few projects: youth-type video, conference advertising etc.

Has anyone got any opinions on what software is the best soundtrack creator?

I used Ejay in the past to create Hip-Hop/Dance type tracks, but thats a free version and a bit limited.
Sony just sent me an email advertising their "Cinescore"...

(I don't want to be buying lots of extra CDs with samples afterwards, just hoping for everything in one package.)

Any ideas?

Sony has a free version of ACID available too.
But why don't you download some royalty-free music? There's lots of music absolutely free on the Internet.

Can you recommend a good royalty-free music site?

(I'm a bit new to this...)

Thanks

It might not be hip-hop an ddance but the best royalty free musioc I've encountered on the interweb you can fiund by searching theses forums for 'Cushman'.

He works for the love of his art and has allowed anyone here to use his work as they want.

I agree. Bill Cushman is a great composer. And a great guy to chat with. I also use pieces composed by Joanne Robinson, Peter John Ross, or JR Durban. Try googling these composers and contact them for collaboration.

Thanks for the tips...
Checked out Cushman, good stuff....I found JR Durbans music especially good.

I just ordered Dance Ejay 7 for about $20 and am hoping to create more youthy-jumpy tracks with that.
