I am looking for a specific sound effect. That of an audio tape being stopped abruptly. It's a familiar sound, like when music or audio is stopped suddenly. I've searched everywhere I can think of but cannot find this. I've found rewind and fast forward effects, but not a stopping one. Anyone know where I could get hold of this sound effect?? Thanks.

Get/borrow a cheap tape player and record the sound?

Ha, I was going to make you one, vegas has a neat velocity envalope tool, but only for video I just discovered, sorry.
