| | I am amazed that the MR8 only allows two track simultaneous recording and the HD version only allows 4 track simultaneous recording. Why on earth make an 8 track that is so restrictive? Bonkers. |

| | Hey Luke.
I love big desks, macho stuff etc, but when I went to film Alvin the other night, his sound man had a teeny weeny Roland digital desk. He called it a control surface. It is pretty damn amazing, taking the place of a 32 channel analogue mixer, with everthing under the sun available, including saving the room settings to SD card so if you go back you can just recall that theatres particular set-up. All echos and reverbs built in, and all channels sent down two four-pin XLRs so no multi-core. Super groovy, but it does look tiny and un-impressive compared to your dads rig. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
