Default Using Canon L1 Camera's

I'm using 2 canon L1 camera's. Since these are analog camera's i'm copying them to the hard drive first and then insert editing camera 2 into camera 1 however I want the sound from camera 1 to stay . I believe I will be able to lock the audio from camera 1 with Pinnical Plus, should recieve disks next week. I now have the Se ver. and just upgraded. Am I correct and is there anything special I shoud do (settings etc.)?
