Default What attributes must have a loop-ready audio file?

Hi! I perform songs for video production and have doubts about how must I edit my songs so as to be useful for video production, specially when they have to be looped.

A few says ago one of my files was rejected because it has a tempo of 99.9732 bpm instead 100 bpm. How much precise does the tempo must be? Does it really matters?

Do video producers really need the looping properties to be embedded in the file info tags (wave properties)? Like Loop info, Sampler tags...

Default More info

I mean...
Have video editors any real need of such precise synchro between scenes and looped audio?

Is there any video editing software that allow editors to loop an audio file instead of have to copy/paste several times the same audio file to get continuous playing?

I was amazed when istockaudio.com reject that file for just a few cents of a second.

Thought I've missed some video needs...

no, if you say something is 100 bpm, it has to be 100bpm.

All loop libraries I've seen do this.

As far as seamlessly looping goes. If that's what they want, then, sure that should be what they get.

You need some decent sampling software to do good seamless looping and some skill in using it too! I use EMU's Emulator X software sampler for creating sample loops if and when I need to (mostly I don't - I don't like using loops in my compositions unless the piece really calls for it).
