Default external mic -soundproof shoe mount

I have a sony DV camcorder, and use an external maplin zoom mic which avoids camera noise.
If I mount the mic on the camera the sound conducts through.
Is there such a thing as a cheap non-sound conducting mounting bracket?

Thanks
tony

Creative video sell a gadget that suspends your mic from two annuli on rubber bands - that should sort it.
