Hi
I used a god aweful microphone and now my audio has this hisssss in it.
When I try to remove the hiss, the subsequent audio sounds really digital as well as all ambient sounds, what do I need to enhance this, better sound card, codecs, what is the best audio codec used for making these types of edits.

adobe audition (or cool edit pro as it was known) should do a reasonable job of cleaning up the mess
