For free sound effects look especially hard at the 'sticky' post at the top of this forum called 'Ulitmate Free SFX Links' - which at time of writing was the post above this one.

hey can i get some help. i found a library that to me sounds great but seems to be very underpriced. i was mainly looking for rock stuff. If you have a chance can you please listen to the rock cd's on this site and let me know if they are good quality or crap. the site is Wavtracks - Royalty Free Music for Media i can't find a lot of info on them or any user opinions but would love to hear what others think whether this would be a good purchase or just more crap.

just had another listen. on second listen a lot of it sounds rubbish but i'm pretty sure the rock stuff is ok. the metal cd is the one i might use if you think it's not too crappy

We specialise in Royalty Free Music. That's music that is Royalty Free, and not free music. It's funny how people get that mixed up. Free Music is music that is free, and Royalty Free Music is music that is Royalty Free and is therefore free from paying composers royalties when used.

the BEST one is Wavtracks - Royalty Free Music for Media - they are great prices and incredible music. AND they ship free worldwide which is great. i woudl receommend them anyday (they helped me out heaps).

Also - if you ask them for a PROMO code - they will give you one!
