Question Adding Sound In Both Channels

I wonder is it possible to do something about an AVI-file that happend to have the complete sound basicly in the left "speaker channel" only
i can hear a small sound in my headphones from the right "channel" allso
but i would like to have this file 50/50 on both sides, is there any known editing tool thath can achieve this?

someone gave me earlier an advice to use Goldware & Virtual Dubmod in combination
the problem is just thath this affected AVI fails to load inside Virtual Dubmod for some reason
so basicly you can say i need guidense in fixing the both channel audio, seens im pretty bad with editing tools i need some guidense

thanks in advance

Not sure about other apps, but in Sony Vegas you can tell it to use just the left or right on both channels. What editor do you use?

If you want to do the job propperly then you really need to buy a pro audio program such as cakewalk's sonar 6 or cuebase.

the thing is im on good way allready

i have splitted the complete sound from thís movie and converted it to a mono MP3 on 73 Mb and the output has now sound in both channels,
the issue is just thath for some reason the free appl VirtualDubMod refuse to load the movie, now when im about to somehow merge this new sound from my MP3 to replace my old movie sound, and then save it as a new avi
(some people have instructed me to this)
the movie is ok and works exellent, so its strange thath it becomes an "error"

so what i need now is a application that can do this above, ore something similar

i have installed the Cubase Demo now
perhaps it can do something for me in this matter?

but im relly bad at allt his stuff, so some uinstructions would be really great

thanks

Not if you have Vegas Luke. The full program comes stuffed with a ton of sound editing facilities and plug-ins. Full 5.1 mixing just to name one.

so if I'm reading this right, you now have a video file and a corresponding mp3 which you want to combine, right?

This is really easy to do in sony vegas.

1) open Vegas,

2) drag the video onto one of the video tracks

3) right click on the "voice" track (the one that has audio from the video file on it)

4) select "delete track"

5) drag the mp3 onto one of the audio tracks

6) click on "make movie" at the top of the screen

7) follow the instructions!
