I have a Panasonic NS-DV29B and have connected it up and succesfully captured the video file but the sound isn't playing through the PC once done.
I am connecting via firewire. When it is capturing the video (using Windows Movie Maker 2.1) the sound plays through the camera. Does this mean I should also be hooking the camera up to my Line in on my sound card?
The camera does have what looks like a 3.5mm (maybe smaller) phono jack that says TO PC.
Normally firewire will send sound and picture to the PC. Check your settings in the capture software, it may be that you've got "capture sound from soundcard" or something similar ticked somewhere.
It sounds like a software problem rather than a cable problem.
