I thought I'd post this for anyone interested in free video editing software for Mac.
I downloaded this a few months back and have found it to be a very intuitive, easy to use piece of software (Very versatile too).
I originally used this to restore old Lp and cassette recordings - the Raygun plugin (which I purchased) is excellent for this, and then began experimenting with video.
For basic editing I highly recommend.

Note this software was originally called Montage and sold for $149. (stability issues have snce been resolved and this is a nice app).

I have actually heard a lot of negative about this.
There were serious problems when it was called Montage, causing crashes and lots of lost work.

Even if the company claims that this "Stability issue" has been solved, and re-named it Hyper-engine, I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.


Steer well clear!

Far better to pay a few dollars and use Audacity or Sound Forge Audio Studio.

I personally have found the latest version 1.6 to be very stable with no problems.

Well you would say that wouldn't you... seeing as how you're trying to sell it.

Audition, Audacity and Sound Forge are much better products than Montage and a lot more stable, sorry to say.

HyperEngine AV is FREE software (ie, you don't pay for it)
(The only reason I'm posting it here is because I have found it useful, no other reason whatsoever- I don't make money from this and I'm not selling this).
I am not affilliated with Arboretum systems in any way whatsosever.
