I can change the name of this forum if you think it's not descriptive enough. But essentially what the OP suggested was what I envisage this forum to be. Audio Editing.

How about splitting it into "Audio editing" and "Sound recording" ?

Why not make a DAW forum in the Editing section it might get used more. Since this one is in the hardware section.

Audio editing and sound recording sounds good to me.

Perhaps I am being fussy but maybe 'Sound reacording and audio editing' is better cos it stresses the importance of the recording process, I was thinkning of the 'crap in - crap out' principle.

Not sure I agree with the use of "reacording", I personally prefer the more traditional "recording".

"Sound Recording and Audio Editing" floats my boat.
