converting VHS to DVD

hi guys,

i have one of those pinnacle usb2.0 capture cards and i need to do some VHS to DVD conversion... To use this capture card will I have to install pinnacle and then import to vegas?? I cant really be arsed doing this to be honest...

If its not gonna work would someone please recommend a good workflow of how to convert VHS to DVD and what hardware would be useful..

I find the most productive method is to use a stand alone DVD recorder (just play from the VHS machine and record on the DVD machine) simple

It all happens in real time. Then if editing is required, then just import the DVD into the computer (using something like ulead movie factory for example) its much easier than spending hours capturing analogue video.
