How do you change the default background of the video tracks?
Its currently black but I find no way of changing it to white.

To get arouond it I created a second video track and put a blank text screen on that, but there surely must be a better way of changing it?

Any ideas?


ps: I have Vegas 6

Right click a track...select Track Display Colour and select your colour.

Thanks, but that just changes the icon display colour, not the background.

By default the background will be black as there is nothing there. Add a video track at the bottom and using media generator add solid colour. drag it out for as long as you need it. Using keyframes you can change colours gradually if you desire.
