Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default Audio capture issues with Vegas 6

Hi,
I'm new to all of this but I'd REALLy like to learn!

I own a Panasonic GS 250 MiniDV camcorder and have Vegas 6 on my PC.
I'm trying to import what I've shot onto my PC so I can edit it and I'm using Vegas' "Capture Video" option. For some reason, only video gets captured and not any audio!

Would really appreciate any help with this.

Yes, almost for sure. USB is no good for capturing video. Use the f wire connection and i bet all will be well.

Hmm... That's funny...
'Cos the first time I did a video capture (ages ago) it worked! It captured both video and audio.

Any-hoo, will go out and buy a firewire cable ( I assume that's all I'll need )
The camcorder has a firewire port.
