Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default Why cant I important avis?

The clips I am trying to import are divx and xvid encoded. I get mixed things but out of all of them (none are related), I havent been able to get one in properly. Either the audio track doesnt come, or the video track doesnt come or the thing just doesnt import all together. I recently downloaded that k-lite codec pack if that has anything to do with it.

I have never got xvids to work. Transcode those in virualdub or on of the other programs for this.

The divxs should be fine, I have the nemo codec pack.

Virtualdub is giving me all kinds of problems with these videos as well. The playback lags, I've been frequently getting error messages that say the audio during encoding will be off sync by like 2300ms or something. I cant fast forward through the clips on virtual dub.

Is there any pro software that deals with supporting and encoding damn near every file format you can think of while being a good program at the same time cause this is starting to get pretty frustrating. "did you make the video yet?" "no these xvid clips stopped me dead cold in production"

lol yah know what i mean?
