Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Question Black & white, two-toned "Stamp" effect...

Hi guys,

Is there any way of getting an effect in Vegas like the black & white, two-toned "Stamp" tool in Photoshop? So what you end up with are literally two colours on screen, white being all the highlighted areas, and black being all the shadows, but with smooth, antialiased edges as opposed to jaggedy ones. Putting the contrast up high just doesn't cut it.

Thanks,

MS.

Pull the rgb curves as one in 'colour curves' plug in, have a play and that should do it. To aviod jagged edges add some blurr.

I'm a bit of a "n00b" when it comes to Vegas... What should the line(s) look like in the white box under "Colour Curves"?

Sort of flat along the bottom, then straight up, then flat along the top.
