Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default Horrible Performance with preview....

i dont understand why i cant go higher than preview with the preview in a small wndow in vegas.

I have a Athlon 3200+
1GB DDR RAM
plenty of harddrive space left
and a New X700 Radeon Video Card

Now in settings it says u cant put more memory into the preview if u want, and with a GB i change from like 50MB to like 150MB of RAM for my preview, i see no performance change, is it that i habve to restart my pc for that to take effect?

Make sure your preview window is set to "preview auto" or "good auto" if you want to check out a certain part within vegas highlight the section you want to check out and press "shift + B" and it will RAM render the highlighted section then you can play it without any lag.

Hope this is what you are after.
