Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Track motion is an easy way. Simply have your TV image on the bottom layer, the video on the top, select track motion and resize the video to fit into the screen area.

Seriously, (and I don't know how many ways to say this)....Use Track Motion!
You will need to key frame the movements of your overlay at the time points you want it to move, but it is easily achieved. Best plan is just to try it. Play with the clips in a new project to avoid stuffing up the one you're working on. Open the help file, investigated track motion and keyframing and all will become clear.

Take up editing - forget everything else in your life. Tricks like that are time consuming to get just right. As said use the track motion and key frames and dont be too much of a perfectionist.

Vegas has a good help section built in to help you find what is meant.
