| | How to overlay multiple clips? I want to do an overlay of a couple of unmoved camera clips to blend what's moving on screen together. It's a guy walking around the room. What I want to do is have him walking around the room, then start to fade out as he fades in in another part of the room from a different clip. I do and don't know how to do this. The more layers I make the picture gets darker and darker, I need to know how to keep it normal? |

You need a shot of the empty room to begin with. You should also make sure that the lighting in all the clips is identical. The camera I assume will be fixed in one position? Start with the empty room, then simply overlay the clip with the man walking, fade it out at the appropriate time, and fade in the other when you want. |

| | Sorry, been busy with christmas time.
I got that part down Turn but there's a problem, but when that stuff is overlayed it makes the picture darker. |

| | Try putting bits of white in between the layers so have layer 1 as wite layer 3 layer 5 and it goes on as odd numbers. |

| | You could set the mode to add or screen on the top layers and see what looks best and put on brightness and contrast to make it lighter and darker and so on. (if you use vegas that is) |

| | for the fade thing, I would just tape the guy walking around, split clip where you need to and just do a crossfade, you get the effect that he is walking here then a fade and hes further ahead... maybe this is what you are trying to do. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
