I am new to Vegas so could somebody please explain me how to use chroma keyer to replace the blue background with a still picture?

This is a fairly basic operation in Vegas.

Select the Chroma Key plugin on the clip you want to use.

Use the colour palette to select the correct colur.

That colour now dissapears from your image.

Put a new video track under your existing track and import the media you want to it.

You now have a new background.
