Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default Sony Vegas 6.0 open media problem

I have 2 video files, both .avi. One is around 300mb and the other is around 700 mb. The 300 mb file opens up in vegas 6, but only contains audio and no video in the program, the 700 mb file starts to open then fails and the program closes. Both files are fully functional and play perfectly in full when open in windows media player or divx. If someone could give me a hand id really appreciate it.
thx

It's because the files are heavily compressed. What do you want to do with them?
