| | Typing effect in Sony Vegas 6.0 i want to input some text in a movie but i want the text to do the typing motion when shown.
to give a better example: like in war movies, they will show in a corner of the movie the time and mission name. it will be type in. like a typewritter motion. |

| | There's probably some kind of set effect. But think about it logically. All you need to do is create a squence of titles and place them next to each other:

the em
the emp
the empi
the empir
the empire
Now if you placed all the above as a sequence, you see "the empire" being spelt on screen. |

Have your project on the time line then add another video track above, then go to - Media Generators - Credit Roles - and try the Timed Wipe In/Out, on black. You can edit opacity, colour, font etc
This would do what your after, you might have to play with it for a while.

teh link to vasst tutorial was good but didnt really tell me how it did it, just kinda made one for me, i tried to modify it but it wont let me do it.
im still kinda lost on using the wipe in/out effect, but usually after playing with it for a while i might be able to get it.
ill keep u guys posted. |

There is some valuable stuff kinda hidden away in there, you sometimes just have to hunt for it.
