Any help would be grateful! Trying to import some DJ avi into vegas but the files always ahve a black background - want transparent to overlap main files.
Have tried all codecs on my system .
What am I doing wrong.

Have you tried Keying out the black? ie. chroma key video effect and then using the colour picker in the effect attributes select anythying that is black - otherwise bring down the transparency of the clip you are working with and place above the other?
