Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default SONY Vegas 6 WITH MPEG1

I'm using VEGAS 6 and I have a Sony DVD Camera. I use Pixela ImageMiwer to import videos from my Sony Camera and it creates them in MPEG1 form as far as I understood.

When I try to import them SONY Vegas I don't have any audio. I have MConcept plug-in installed and AC3 codec’s.

Please HELP.
Thanks.

You would make life a helluva lot simplefor yourself if you captured in Vegas itself. Try it. Much better!

I've tried to import the movies with Vegas but it doesn't recognize the Camera, I don't why. Is there some drive missing?

Default Vegas With MPEG1

For all the captured files, isn't there anything I can do to import them to Vegas? I don't have the source DVD because I use re-writable DVDs.

Do this

Tools>Preferences

Preview device tab

Select 1394 DV Device

Your camera should now be recognised when you plug it in via Firewire

Unfortunately DVD camcorders do not support firewire.

There's a few options available to you. By far the easiest is to simply conver the MPEG to a format Vegas is happy editing:
