Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default images on overlay track get crappy with ulead video studio 8

Hell-o

I'm using Ulead Video Studio 8 to put up a movie.
I added some images on the overlay track.
The images are of good quality (screen shoots).

When i encode (PAL DV) the images get blurred when using
anti-blink option, otherwise they...blink.

Does anyone know how to solve this?
Does the focus filter do any good?

The Focus effect will achieve nothing.

The problem here is that Video Studio is not that good at re-scaling still images. The fix is to re-scale using your imaging software. Re-scale the image to 360x288, save and then insert that into video studio.

You will notice the difference.

Good luck!

thanks purejammy, but that didn't help too much
it's rather a problem of rendering (or encoding) then resizing.

the focus effect helped a little bit by increasing the contrast.

Fiara, I am puzzled by this. I know Romania TV standard is PAL D/G (UK is PAL /I) but this should not be a problem for image scaling.

Can you email me a copy of your original still image and I will have a look at this.

Thanks
