Thread: No streams in .ac3 file created by Sony Vegas HD Patinum11

Hi,

Trying to make a DVD of my brother's wedding I filmed on a Panasonic SD900. I import it into Sony Vegas HD Platinum 11, everything seems fine in the preview but when I click on the option to make a DVD/Blu-Ray it opens Sony DVD Architect Studio 5.0 but tells me it can't detect the audio streams in the .ac3 file Sony Vegas created.

Have you created the .ac3 streams? I suspect not.You've probably selected the option to create MPEG files in Sony Vegas and chosen "DVD Architect Video Stream" template. this does not produce any audio.
Render a second time using the Dolby Digital (ac3) format and give the file the same name (except the extension) and all should be good.

Ooops. Just re-read, you click a button in Studio to Make DVD - I'm not entirekly sure how that workflow works, but the above may give you a clue.

if you have already done what TImStannard tells you, check what is the DVD Architect Studio version and build number you are using. You need 5.0 build 156 or 157. Build 150 has a bug that prevents DVD Architect Studio from opening AC-3 Studio files rendered by Vegas Pro and Vegas Movie Studio software.
