Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default Vegas 5.0 film effect voodoo-it just ain't leaving the clip!

After working on a fairly simple time line-editing a 2:30 video with simple broll..I foolishly wanted to see what the film effect would look like on one of the clips. the video is essentially a talking head video with some broll over top. I put the film effect on the gentleman speaking-I never saw the effect take effect. When I re-opened the project the next morning and tried to render it, the gentleman's track was jumping around and it had the "dust" effect applied. I de-selected the effect, tried to render it again and boom-shaky city! it's weird, it's as if a permanent effect was been placed on my clip. Any thoughts? (robthesun@gmail.com)

Default i think i am good-sorry about taking up space!

man, i still just find final cut pro so much more intuitive and easy to organize! I need to read the damn manual! anyway, apparently you can add an effect to your entire clip in the media pool-yikes! it had become a permanent attitribute of the clip. you have to actually uncheck the effect from the clip in the media pool and not in the timeline where you edit! who knew!
