Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default Sound isn't importing for Divx movie

Hey all, in Vegas 5 I tried to import a friend's Divx movie. The video track appeared as normal but the sound track wasn't included.

Do i need to install some kind of codec for Vegas to recognize the sound? Help! Thanks for your help.

I'm not really familiar with Vegas, but in any package I'd recommend converting the file from DivX to something else first. Use a program like virtualdub ( www.virtualdub.org ) to convert it into something else first.

i'd imagine that vegas can handle mp3 audio, so what audio has it got? chances are you'll have to install the codec.
