Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

I must have missed this post first time round.

Yes, in broad terms Moldy is right, ULead Video Studio will be compatible with a Sony Vaio. However, sucess will depend upon the detailed spec of the laptop. Use Windows XP, as much memory as you can, and as much disk space as you can, and capture by Firewire and you should be OK.

Just to be absolutely sure, you can check the minimum system spec requirements for the product at www.ulead.com

Good luck

err I would rather suggest you do it on a desktop to get the max speed to capture then edit later render......laptop are not that reliable when comes to hevay usage of graphic editing...(I could be wrong) unless you are using the apple laptop.

Pretty much any new mid-to-high range laptop will be powerful enough for video editing and capture. It might not be the most pleasant experience at times, but it'll definitely work.
