Thread: Sony Vegas Effect Help!

I am getting a new camera and im starting to make music videos.
I would like to get a look like this video below

Well from your answer you know more than you think. The main things that have been done to this is the colour saturation as been reduced and a green tint has been put on it, like in The Matrix movie. This can be done in a number of ways, probably the easiest would be to use colour curves but most of the colour tools in Sony Vegas will do this. The contrast has also been increased this is why you see a lot of darkness.

The best way to learn about this type of thing is to just play around with the tools that you have don't try and do everything with one tool, watch tutorials about colour correction on YouTube.

Excellent post, Midnight! And the subsequent one.

Posting "how do I get this look" and getting a response is all very well, but perhaps people should take a step back and try to work out what it is about the look that they want to get. That way they are half way to understanding how to achieve the look.

This also neatly avoids the problem that two people looking at the same clip may see different aspects.

Creating a look is not formulaic, it requires understanding of what's going and understanding and experimientation with the tools you have at your disposal.
