Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default Error - Makes no sense?

I use Vegas which i find great, there seems to be a problem with now.
Vegas boots up fine, the program runs fine, i can save thing out fine, the problem that seems to have cropped is this:

I boot up Vegas then attempt to load in a saved .veg file and i get an error message. I tried simply booting up Vegas and creating a new project and simply placed a single clip onto the time line and saved out the .veg file. And sure enough, when booting up Vegas followed by the new .veg file, the same error.

Here's the error message:

This means nothing to me and is no help what so ever. I have also tried to re install the program without luck.

Also, it seems that when i remove Vegas from my PC (so i can re install it again) not all the Vegas files are removed.

Anyone know the best Sony telephone number to call with help with Vegas. I am located in England.

Looks like dodgy memory or disk to me.

Check you memory and disk status using your operating system and retry.

Good luck

I don't see how it can be a memory problem, as all my other programs work fine. Besides, Vegas when loading a .veg files only needs to load in a small amount of date + the media pool files, and if the program can boot up and run fine (bar the loading issue) it seems it could be something else.

The problem has been fix now

Using the add/remove option on Vegas was not enough. I had to type in the word vegas in the seach file and folders option and delete all things Vegas before doing a re install. All is up and working again (although why Vegas stopped working will remain a mystery).
