Thread: How to combine tabs (?)

Hi all, new here, just wondering if any of you could help me out with a little problem I'm having.

I've been using Vegas 9.0 for a while now and love it, but I can't figure out one little problem that has been irking me (despite the fact that it is probably very obvious and that I'm likely a big idiot for not knowing how to fix it lol) - is there a way to combine the video preview in to other tabs, IE effects and whatnot? It's annoying having to click the video preview bar and have to keep going back and forth to see how the effects are changing it (I'm sure I could find this very quickly in the manual, but it's actually my dad's copy and I have no idea where he has placed it). Basically could I see the video preview in the same tab as the mixer/video fx/etc?

Any help would be appreciated .

Not really sure what you're after to be honest. If you add an effect, just drag the window that pops up away from the preview screen, then as you make changes you can see it 'live' on the preview window. If you've got a 2nd monitor drag the tools and effects windows over to there. Don't forget you can also click on the 'split preview' to give you before and after on each half of the preview.
