We have VS8 - has worked ok after we figured out a few things but now when we are trying to use the trim bar on the program it keeps locking/freezing up? Anyone had this happen ?

Yup, I got that once. Subsequently discovered it was a bad sector on my hard disk. So might be worth running an error check there. Its also worth deragging your disk to make sure its reading as efficiently as it can.

It may not be the problem of course ... could be your system is just low on resources.

thanks, I will try that when I get a minute - my husband did 2 videos with no problem and then now this...driving me nuts ! We are not that great at computer stuff so we are affraid that there may be some settings that are wrong but I have a hard time finding out any specific info from Ulead.com - or the book that came with the software. Not a whole lot of help/troubleshooting available.
