External monitoring problem

Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Okay it's gone from bad to worse. Installed Version 8.1. When you go to preview on external monitor the program crashes (not responding)!
I called Sony Vegas Tech Support and they confirmed that this is a known 64-Bit issue and there is NO fix for it right now and do not know when there will be! He said it was embarrassing for them but nothing he can do. So basically,
I'm stuck with a new system that doesn't work. I will have to go back to a 32-Bit operating system to continue editing.
